A Contact Improvisation dance jam!
We're back live and in person just like last year:
ORCJ 2025.
Early registration includes three lunches and snacks, forty classes and activities in multiple beautiful ballet studios, and continuous open jamming. Late registration gets you everything except the lunches and snacks.
We'd love to have you join us for the full three-day jam. You get the best value if you do, and you get snacks and lunches. Save Money! Register Early! For this large event with people joining us from all over, it helps us plan if you register as soon as possible. Contact Us! If you have a question, financial barrier, or access need, contact us to discuss support at ontjam@contactimprov.ca. Fees are below:
Registration and payment options are below.
Registering is simple: There is NO registration form to fill out. Just send us money:
From inside Canada: Dancers in Canada can register and pay simply by sending a Canadian Interac (email) autodeposit e-transfer to ontjam@contactimprov.ca. We'll get your name from the Interac e-transfer itself. If the Interac e-transfer has someone else's name on it, or if you are paying for more than one person, add a note to the Interac e-transfer and also send us an email to the above ORCJ email address explaining who just registered. Financial support is available; contact us. Jam prices are given above.
From outside Canada: Dancers who can't pay by Canadian Interac (e.g. USA and other outside Canada), or who have any other complications, whether financial or logistical, can register by sending us an inquiry email to the above ORCJ email address and we will arrange other payment options (e.g. PayPal). Financial support is available; contact us. Jam prices are given above.
Registrations after 11pm Thursday March 26 are too late for us to order your food; no lunch or snacks for you, but you still get three full days of dancing. Woo hoo!
You can pay at the door via online Canadian Interac/email on your own cell phone (preferred) or by using Canadian cash. (USA cash is accepted but may not get a good, if any, exchange rate.) We don't process debit or credit cards at the door; we don't do PayPal at the door. We accept Interac or cash only at the door. Jam prices are given above.
Three days of Contact Improvisation on the lovely fourth floor at 400 Jarvis St. in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. (We dance in the same building as the Canadian National Ballet School, a few blocks south of Wellesley St. E.). The building has multiple beautiful dance studios with huge windows and grand pianos in every room. Possibly the largest contact improv jam in North America, with over 200 people to dance with (2025). We are especially welcoming to new people, non dancers, people of all sizes, ages, shapes, mental and physical abilities. The venue is wheelchair accessible. We are LGBTQIA2S+ welcoming.
If you were dancing here at ORCJ during Easter weekend at ORCJ 2025, you know exactly what to expect. ORCJ 2026 is on the same Easter weekend, in the same venue.
Tanya is preparing our schedule for ORCJ 2026.
Come ready to move in contact with and close proximity to other people:
We're planning the next Ontario Regional Contact Jam April 3 – April 5 2026. We invite all members of the Ontario contact community to join the planning group, already in progress.
We regularly accommodate out-of-town teleconferencers, so please let us (ontjam@contactimprov.ca) know if you would like to call in.
We want to plan our way forward in an open way with broad involvement from the Ontario CI community. So join us and help guide our common future.
If you'd like to participate, but can't come to meetings, contact us, and we'll get you hooked in with the group.
This is your volunteer-run, community-run dance jam. Please help us make it happen. Contact: ontjam@contactimprov.ca
We're organizing the 2026 Ontario Regional Contact Jam, April 3 – April 5, 2026, in Toronto.
We invite all interested and committed community contactors to join in the creation of another awesome contact dance experience.
We're looking for help with all kinds of sub-projects: flyer design, advertising and promotion, billeting, set-up and clean-up, and all kinds of stuff we haven't thought of and you have.
We'd like to invite members of the contact improv community throughout Ontario and neighbourhood to help us pull it all together. If you've got an idea of how you can contribute, please let us know. Contact one of us, and we'll get you hooked in with the group. EMail a Human: ontjam@contactimprov.ca
